Hanoi is definitely the noisiest, most hectic and dirtiest city we have ever been too, but following a good night's sleep the Old Quarter and other bits of the city have their obvious charms. Wandering aimlessly around the shop filled streets of the Old Quarter was great fun, seeing all of the different specialties of the roads and experiencing all of the sights and smells. Dodging mopeds on the roads and dead rats on thee floor added even more excitement!
The foods been great though, having had chicken pho for breakfast and beef pho with spring rolls for lunch.
We've also sorted onward transport too Hue on the overnight train, so we have the next few days planned with Ha Long Bay and then Hue.
